  • an adventure in distinctive expressionist art...

Joan is a Cape Coral artist from the Chicago area. Her paintings are a combination of the alla prima and impressionistic styles with brilliant and flamboyant brush strokes and color.

No matter what subject, landscapes, figures, or still life, Joan paints with broad strokes, alternating lights with darks, thick with thin, finding edges and losing edges creating a painting collaborating between heart and mind.

Joan was traditionally trained attending the Art Institute of Chicago and attended classes in Connecticut, Florida, Michigan, and Wisconsin. She attended classes with distinguished painters: Marco Bronzini, Naples, Robert Liberace, Sarasota, and Scott Powers, Pallet and Chisel, Chicago

Being active in local art associations Joan is a member of Cape Coral Art League, Art Center of Bonita, von Liebig Art Center, Naples, and Alliance of Ft. Myers. She participates in art fairs and art events throughout Florida.

Private commissions are invited, and Joan welcomes an opportunity to donate artwork to local charities and nonprofit organizations. Her artwork is exhibited in business offices and prestigious homes in many states including Chicago and the Naples, FL.

Each painting is extraordinarily unique and would be an outstanding focal point for any room and a good investment for the future. Be sure to check out Joan's fish prints. Commissions welcomed.
