Eric Radde followed his artist path by earning a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art from The University of Texas at Arlington with a minor in Graphic Communication. His artistic training led him down the path to a 30-year advertising career. His time as a Creative Director, and later as an agency owner, exposed him to the art in advertising and how it becomes fine art if viewed from a certain perspective.
In 2022, Eric (semi) retired from his advertising career and moved to Fort Myers to go back to his roots as a fine artist. Looking at large and small, Eric finds patterns and details around him to influence his work. His unique style blends geometric shapes, abstract elements, and a little quirkiness to the art inspirations he sees across the area’s coastal landscape.
Eric calls his new art style “Dr. Seuss meets Matisse”. It’s a blend of bold color, simplified shapes, and a love of things that make you look at the complex through the eyes of a cartoon-loving kid.
