This mixed-media sculpture features a hand-built ceramic bottle covered with hand-printed monotype papers, carefully collaged onto its surface. Monotype printing is a unique printmaking process in which paint is applied directly to a smooth plate, and paper is pressed onto the painted surface to create a one-of-a-kind image.

Multiple layers of paint and collage create a rich, textured surface with an aged, weathered appearance. The work is inspired by the concept of a palimpsest—a surface that reveals traces of layered history, where more recent additions partially obscure remnants of the past. Like a palimpsest, this piece evokes the passage of time, memory, and the stories that accumulate beneath the surface.

The sculpture measures 16½ inches tall by 7 inches wide by 3 inches deep.
