The bowls are finished in a water based polyurethane that is safe for COLD foods. Never put wooden bowls in the microwave or dish washer. Clean by washing with a little warm soapy water and drying immediately. If cared for lovingly these bowls will last forever.

Art In A Bowl!

My canvas is Beech and Maple wood salad shaped bowls. Each bowl is unique! I use nature as my model, fish, birds, flowers, shells, vegetables and fruit. I also paint special orders as well, just ask. Using acrylic paint, I paint in a very translucent style so that the beautiful grain of each bowl shines through. Please note that for fish painted on bowls size 12" and up, I continue painting the body and tail onto the back of the bowl.

Marianne is a long time resident of Sanibel Island and member of Tower Gallery. She has a degree in Horticulture and works part time designing gardens and landscapes for customers on Sanibel. Her two sons grew up on the island. They now live in California and North Carolina. When she is not in her studio creating, she is out working in her garden or kayaking with her husband Paul.
