This is a framed 24”x 24” original oil painting on stretched linen. The frame is a white wood floating frame. The colors are bright, clear and saturated. 
One morning I was drinking espresso at my kitchen counter and noticed that light coming through the window was hitting the lemons on the counter in the most interesting way and I knew I needed to paint it.

  • Elise grew up in the NY metropolitan area, moving down to beautiful SW Florida 15 years ago. Her early career as a fine jewelry designer working for Harry Winston, Bailey, Banks and Biddle, Zales, as well as many other manufacturers, which spanned 25 years and many continents. Having always painted, Elise studied at Rhode Island School of Design, Michigan State University and Arts Students League in NYC. As a full time artist working in oil on linen, Elise’s works include large scale contemporary still lives, as well as portraits and landscapes. She loves painting the beauty she sees in everyday and mundane objects, especially ones that are woven into our lives that we take for granted. As a colorist, Elise is very interested in transparency and reflection as well as how color and light interact and affect each other. She is a member of local art associations as well as the National Association of Women Artists and shows both locally and internationally.
