My artistic side has taken many forms. I am from Kansas City and moved to Fort Myers in 2009. While in K.C., after apprenticing with two professional puppeteers, I formed a puppet Troupe – The Kansas City Critters. Later I worked as a freelance photographer. In 2004 I created a retail business Dental Poster Art where I restore and print art posters that relate to dentistry. During this period I created a dental comic strip which has appeared in dental journals. After moving to Florida I took up scenic photography and have sold in shops, fairs, and galleries. Being frustrated by the number of photographers at art fairs, I decided to try something unique – Found Object Robots. My experience making puppets and props was invaluable. I am calling this venture “Re-Psycho’d” – as I am recycling into man-made life-forms that often look like they could use some counseling. And that’s my story. Each Found Object Robot has a name or saying that matches its personality. Naming them is half the fun.
